RML MG Lola EX264 with Mike Newton, Thomas Erdos & Andy
Wallace
This
website is dedicated to information and coverage of RML's
MG Lola sports prototype project, as well as other races
and events contested by AD Motorsports.
With
support from the AD Group of companies, RML introduced their
sportscar programme in November 2003 with the MG Lola EX257.
A full season in the 2004 Le Mans Endurance Series then
followed, with Mike Newton and Thomas Erdos campaigning
the car with great success, including an impressive run
at Le Mans.
They
were back in 2005, this time with the all-new Judd-engined
MG Lola EX264 - a direct development of the EX257 carried
out by RML in partnership with Lola and MG Cars. The highlight
of that season was an incredible class victory in the Le
Mans 24 Hours. The following year, 2006, the EX264 employed
an AER turbocharged powerplant and contested the full Le
Mans Series as well as the Le Mans 24 Hours, winning the
French classic for a remarkable second time. They returned
again in 2007. Their Le Mans dream was denied them (see
story top right) but Mike Newton and Thomas Erdos went on
to win the LMP2 title in the Le Mans Series. The 2008 season
sees them campaigning the fully revised and updated MG Lola
EX265. Regular news, information and day-by-day coverage
of major events is featured here.
