RML Appoints Simon Danton. Issued July 10th 2006

Group Appoint Sales & Marketing Manager
RML
is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Danton as
Sales & Marketing Manager. Simon will head up sales
of all RML products including the new RML X-Power aftermarket
performance parts range, the growing RML X-Pro range of
professional motorsport equipment and RML Engines.
Daryl
Cozens, Commercial Director, commented; “We are pleased
to welcome Simon on board as he brings a wealth of experience
to the RML Group as we continue to develop our product range
and customer base. With RML X-Power we have developed an
exciting retail product range and through RML X-Pro we will
be offering unique products such as the BSS safety seat
system. The introduction of our engine division over the
winter has already attracted a number of new projects, a
trend that we aim to continue”.
Simon
brings with him a wealth of engineering and commercial experience
from a successful career with Cosworth Limited and the Royal
Air Force (RAF). His most recent position as Commercial
Manager with Cosworth saw him involved in a variety of customer
oriented projects, including the Vanquish S project for
Aston Martin, the CSR road and race engines for Caterham
Cars and Cosworth’s d-Power range of performance components.
His strong engineering expertise was gained during a ten
year appointment as a Commissioned Officer in the RAF where
he was actively involved on a number of projects, including
Tornado and Harrier fast jets.
Simon’s
appointment coincides with Mike Blanchet, formerly Head
of Business Development, leaving RML after seven years to
resume his motorsport and automotive business consultancy.

his time at RML and wish him success for the future”.

England the company’s 4,300 square metre facility
and includes full design, development, manufacturing and
operational support for automotive engineering projects.
RML has achieved success in a diverse range of motorsport
categories including GT and sportscars, touring cars, rally
cars, single seaters and oval speedway cars. In 2006 RML
teams are competing in the FIA World Touring Car Championship,
the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Le Mans Series.
