Michael & Sam - Mr & Mrs Mallock.
Issued September 8th 2007

Michael & Sam Get Married!

We are delighted to announce that the wedding took place on September 1st of Michael Mallock and Sam Clarke.

The service was held at 2:30pm in the parish church of All Saints, Mears Ashby near Northampton. Over 180 guests attended the ceremony, which was followed by a reception in a vast marquee, erected in the garden of one of Sam's relatives in the nearby village of Overstone.

Michael and Sam have known each other for many years, having been at school together. Many of those who attended the Le Mans 24 Hours this year will have met Sam, who fulfilled the role of Marketing and Hospitality Coordinator for the team, while Michael will be well known not only as the son of RML founder Ray Mallock, but also as an accomplished racing driver in his own right.

"It really was the most fantastic day," said a proud Michael. "The bride looked truly incredible. We both turned up and said the right words, and apart from forgetting to cut the cake, it all went exactly to plan!"

The couple's wedding car was typically special, being a four-door Aston Martin V8; one of only seven made.

The car was loaned by Richard Williams, who maintains the motorsport link by owning one of the latest N24 Aston Martin GT4 racecars. This will be tested shortly and is due to make its race debut later this month.

Michael and Sam enjoyed a brief three-night break in the south of France before heading back to the UK for the Britcar 24. "It looks like we're starting married life as we mean to go on!" said Michael. "I'll make it up to Sam though. I've just got to find a more suitable venue for a proper honeymoon to make up for dragging her back here for a foggy weekend at Silverstone . . . ."

We wish the couple all the very best for the years ahead.
