Michael Mallock in Aston Shakedown.

First
Shakedown for Mallock in N24 Aston
The
first shakedown test of the RSWilliams-prepared Aston Martin
N24 GT4 took place at Silverstone today, and "went
exceptionally well."
The
test was staged on the shorter Silverstone National Circuit,
and was the first run of the V8 Vantage-based machine.
A
slight electrical issue was the only minor blight on an
otherwise clear day's running. Despite not looking to post
fast laps, RML's Michael Mallock, appointed to carry out
the test, was setting times that were some two seconds quicker
than that required to claim pole for this year's Aston Martin
Owners' Club race on the same circuit.
Michael
will give the car its first taste of competition at Donington
Park on the 30th September in an Aston Martin Owners' Club
event. The car will then be fettled and fine-tuned in anticipation
of an international debut at Magny Cours in France for the
final round of the FIA GT4 European Cup, October 13th/14th.
